many here are not jehovah's witnesses anymore because of one reason or another, but do you still preach?
do you still think that it is important for a christian to preach?
just wondering.

Valis:
"Humans have done the worst evils in the name of good". I could be wrong but I think that refers to the world wars. If I am right then witnesses haven't been an active part in that quote, have they?
I DO understand a lot of the animosity on this board. Some here have been dealt in a very bad way. As with a lot of things, we just have to move on. I've read quite extensively here but have yet come across anything to change my beliefs.

since joining the board and doing research, i have found out so many things about the organization and feel no longer compelled to preach or go to meetings.
my friends are not taking me missing meetings well, things are not going to be fun.
but this is my decision and i plan to fade away, because of this decision it leaves me with so many unanswered questions...... which bible is viewed as the most accurate?.

You just told nemo he/she just got some very good answers. WHAT did I miss?
As for me answering his/her questions, the answers would be the same as he'd/she'd get from whence he/she just came.
I was curious what answers he'd/she'd get here.

I guess you neglected to read my last post to you. The comments of mine you are referring to were directed to Valis. You really should read posts more thoroughly.

I'm reading the topic of your post. I keep coming back to see the answers you are getting. Four questions you've asked --- don't hold your breath.

Valis:
I doubt anything I say would make you see JWs in any different light.
When Jesus preached, it was mostly to the less advantaged. He taught mostly to large crowds who gather just to hear him. Today, the same preaching must be done door to door or any avenue where people can be reached. Who knows in door to door if you'll talk to rich or poor? All houses are visited.
If I was poor and had no hope of getting my next meal anytime soon --- I'd rather be visited by a JW because I know they would not leave anyone stranded. But it still boils down to --- the preaching work is primary, as it is meant to be in religion.
